  • Value might not be massively different, depending on condition, but the number of people looking to buy a BB58 is likely a lot greater than an SBGN027. I'd say it's only worth it if you fancy trying something different for a while. If you're looking to move it on I wouldn't bother.

  • Yes it is used, 2022 model, they seem to think the value is the same as the Tudor at £2300.

I have put out a few whats it worth to some dealers and will see what they say.

Still waiting for pictures on the GS

  • Was thinking if tough to sell the BB58 the GS could be a way to get some cash

  • Anyone here who has a recommendation for someone in the UK who can mod a Seiko? Looking to both replace the crystal and then make a few changes to it.

  • Agreed, what's the going rate for a used BB58 at the minute. private sale?

  • I think roughly £2k on the bracelet, maybe a little more depending on condition

  • Was hoping for one with 2 bracelets would be about £2300 RMSD inc

  • Question for the real professionals; does anyone know which model Longines this this? I liked it but took a terrible picture and can't find it online...

  • That clearly says conquest.

  • Green isn't that bad, but date window is all wrong.
Also looks like it's the new 41mm and at 2300€ I would probably buy something else.

  • Why does no watch designer put the date at 3 with a frame around it anymore? Always those holes, preferably in really weird places.

  • For similar money

  • Say what? From a wrist close to me, a minute or so ago. Considerably cheaper.

Ps: the wrist is still close to me!

  • I actually like the date window.
Surprises me that it's 41mm, it looked really massive in the shop window

  • Actually think it looks better on some without the frame and better balanced at 6 for me. They made this change on the new Omega Aqua Terra and should have kept it without the frame as it looks way too claustrophobic in my opinion. Also makes the date it's self look smaller/cramped. Longines have some nice updates in their catalogue at the moment.

  • Too big at 41mm but the Longines has way more personality than this for me.

  • Yes, those are definitely good.

  • Yes.
    But way more dressy.
That said, I don't get the crown guard on the Longines.

  • I don't get the crown guard on the Longines.

The case and bezel is a close copy of the current Rolex Air-King. It's a lot less prominent/offensive than the crown guard design on the previous Conquests.

  • Ah you're right. Air king is also quite terrible with those numbers.

On the subject of crown guards, should I get this for someone?
It's the model and dial I am looking for and it's local.

  • Yeah the Air-King is awful atmo

  • Hold my beer. I'm gonna play the Sky Dweller card.

  • Seems that the price back from the dealer, albeit £1k less, shows that the GS is worth less than the Tudor!

  • Insurance question: my Pelagos is itemised on my house insurance, I paid £3300 a couple of years ago (RRP) and that is the stated value.
I recently noticed they are now £4300 RRP.
If the worst was to happen, would my insurance company supply a new watch, or give me 75% of the cost to replace?
Or do I update the value next time I renew my insurance?
