  • I have a 15 Pro and have had no overheating issues whatsoever. The NFC chip being damaged is a BMW/Mini problem as far as I’m aware, although I don’t own a car. Phone worked fine connected to CarPlay via a cable in the rental we had last week though. It’s an excellent phone and I think the ‘issues’ have been vastly exaggerated.

  • Same here, no issues in 15 Pro (and wireless charging also works... if I don't use quad lock that is. Ordered a Peak Design case but seems a bit too expensive for what it is)

Upgraded from 14 Pro, wasn't a necessary upgrade but 14 Pro went to wifey this way and I love a standard port. I wish there was a way to swap the Airpods 2 Pro case with the usb-C one though (there isn't).

  • Yep, the overheating seems to be caused by a couple of rogue apps (which I don’t use), storm in a teacup.

I was coming from a six year old iPhone X, so it’s a big upgrade for me.

The only thing I didn’t like was the FineWoven case. Not so much the material but the fact that the charge port didn’t align correctly with the cut-out in the case, so I couldn’t get a USB-C cable plugged in. Apple swapped it out for a silicone case which aligns perfectly.
