It's all very odd isn't it? Jumbo Visma need a sponsorr but beyond that what would they gain from the merger? I suppose there's a few riders they fancy but after this season they'd hardly be thinking that their GT squads need changing. Though what they will want from the Giro next year is interesting. I would guess most Quickstep riders and staff know they will be surplus to requirements.

I once got thrown out of this swimming pool. It was a family holiday in 81 or 82, we were at the (much less posh) hotel next door. I was swimming in the lake and decided to sneak in to the pool. Took about 2 minutes before someone spotted me and I had to leave.
