Seeing as the senate could block mad policies anyway it's a win. I don't think there's that much support for a more extreme speaker. All but 8 republicans voted for McCarthy didn't they?

McCarthy gone. What comes next is almost certain to be worse. It seems an obvious move for the Dems to vote him out, but I wonder if it will be back to bite them.
