Oh yes I was absolutely planning on starting early(got a nice heated propagator mat last year), just was wondering why I see rows of pots sitting on top of perfectly good soil a lot of the time :)
I’ll keep a few in pots in the potting shed(it gets good light and heats up nice) and a few on the balcony at home but hoping to have room for at least a dozen or more in the ground under cover. I just figured it’s always better to be in the ground from a watering/nutrients point of view so assumed I was missing something.
I guess having them in pots means you can keep them under glass easier and also measure your inputs, nutrient-wise. Also with some plants restricting the roots helps increase fruit production.
