I inspect my Miche crankset regularly and no cracks so far...
Today was annoying, a car came towards me too fast and close on a narrow coast road, flicked up a bit of shingle that hit the crank with a loud clang (luckily the car missed hitting me) and has chipped the crank and dented the ring.
