So my story ends.
Santiago and his team at Scarab were truly excellent to work with. Highly professional, very communicative. Incredible product especially at that price point.

Maybe Ceeway can help. Think he has more stock than what is listen online. Calling/email is best
-
• #3034
Ceeway is the place for Paragon stuff in the UK. He orders regularly so can get you spares in his next shipment if he doesn't have it in stock. It's expensive but cheaper than Paragon's shipping.

You could send that picture to the good folks at Middleburn/BETD and ask for advice. They make hangers and most likely have the one you need.

Just got a private message from someone who never built up their Isen. This was because initially there wasn’t adequate tyre clearance. They have just started to build it to discover the bottom bracket is incorrectly threaded with the same thread on both sides.
Fuck me those cunts made exceedingly bad bikes with no fucking quality control.

That would make me so cranky

Italian BB?
-
• #3040
Given they were specced as BSA not really. 🤔
-
• #3041
And it’s not like an Italian BB will fit as while the TPI is the same it’s 1mm bigger shell. you could maybe recut the wrong side to an Italian bb but then you have to buy 2 bb’s.
bit of a conundrum but it could potentially be solved by a frame builder without fitting a new bb shell.
agree it’s shit QC -

None of the Isen models have BSA BBs.
It does happen that Paragon thread a bb shell incorrectly but it is extremely rare.
Not to doubt your anonymous messager but without sharing proof, there's not much point in posting about it here.

a previously reported issue
https://www.lfgss.com/comments/15235676/
I used to work for Caren and Matt @coldharbour at Isen and whilst there we had an issue with the company who manufactured the BB shells. All Shells come from the factory with an external groove to indicate right and left hand thread, this BB came with the grove on the wrong side.
-
• #3044
Which would be a different issue that would cause the BB shell to be installed backwards with reversed threads unless it was QC checked. Not both sides threaded the same way.

what do you mean ? i certainly installed one. but maybe i am misunderstanding the meaning of bsa
oh yeah and the clearance is not as advertised and the rear triangle not straight.
-
• #3046
It’s all pissing in the wind now but whether or not there’s a grove to denote thread direction, no builder - least of all one who has experience of their supplier incorrectly marking shells - should be putting a shell in a frame without checking the threads.
I don’t think it even comes under lack of quality control, it’s more like, contempt for your client or some shit.

what do you mean ?
They're all T47. At least all of the models at the time they stopped making any. Their website is still live wih the specs of each model.

BSA is Birmingham Small Arms, an historic manufacturer of guns, bicycles and motorcycles. BSC is a thread specification derived from the earlier CEI spec, featuring a 60° flank angle and 26TPI pitch for most sizes above 1/4". An ISO threaded bottom bracket uses the thread form of BSC with a pitch of 24TPI and a major diameter of 1.37"
The thread was absolute popcorn when someones paint was chipping on the first few rides
