  • Watched the games last night until half time of the browns steelers game.
Both of them dominated by defenses and offenses that couldn't get going.

Heartbroken for Nick Chubb, didn't see the replay of his knee getting buckled, but it felt bad, when the crowd, drew breath watching the replay on the big screen..
    Schefter's tweeted this after:
"Nick Chubb dislocated his left knee and tore his MCL, PCL, and LCL with cartilage damage on October 10, 2015 vs. Tennessee. He injured the same knee tonight vs. Pittsburgh."

I had no idea Chubb. had come back from such a horrendous injury, the thought that he'll possibly have to do the same (no news on how serious the injury is currently, but I've seen a photo of his knee bending the wrong way) rehab again.
Browns will have to go find a running back as so much of the offense runs through the burst/explosion of Chubb in the ground game, and with Watson looking serviceable but not good/great/elite, they'll need to do something so that this season doesn't run away from them..

  • didn't see the replay of his knee getting buckled

Do. Not. Watch. Just do not.

It is Joe Thiesman levels of awful.

He is not playing in the NFL again. That was a career ender.

  • He is not playing in the NFL again. That was a career ender.

I really hope that isn't the case. He's a wonderful, understated player, who just comes in and does the work, not shouting, not showing off, but so much talent and poise. Perfect player for the Browns and their fanbase.

On a happier note, starting to get excited about the Bills Jags game in London as both teams look like they'll be half decent come october..

  • i happen to click on phone news in a habitual maneuver this morning in a meeting a gasped.

    everyone looked at me.

  • Am really enjoying the ben solak run at the ringer, full of enthusiasm and boyish joy at football and good football players, insightful, full of stats and gets super high pitched when excited.
These videos are a nice introduction to him and what gets him going about football

  • Reading reports that Chubb has only done his MCL (obviously still super serious, but not as serious as his college injury, or as serious as thought straight after it happens), nothing confirmed I don’t think but hoping this is the case.
Fingers crossed it’s a shorter road to recovery and return.

  • Miami are going to be a problem.
Nd Denver are in trouble already

  • What a return @Aroogah

  • What does mcdaniels have against Sean Payton. Miami running up the score on Denver..

  • Ha! Fuck the Jags. Our secondary and o-line have been decimated and we go into Jax and kick their ass. We are their bogey team. And I get to boo the Jags in person over the next two weeks. I can also boo the Tits / Houston-traitors too.

My next 3 Sundays are all live football. Hell yes.

  • I'm excited. Not doing the Wembley game but we've got season tickets for the NFL games at Spurs - our seats are about 5 rows from the field.

  • I saw that. Glad it was not the injury it looked like. Hope it makes it back and plays again.

And Fuck Watson. I hope the Browns fail to make the Playoffs. Or lose heavily in the WIld Card round. Long may the Factory of Sadness continue production.

  • @cornelius_blackfoot and I are going to the Ravens game. I'll be in my Stingley jersey with my son in a Metchie one. Corny will be bemused while I yell stuff at the field.

  • For the Factory of Sadness reference

  • Big weekend.

  • Lions laying the smack down on the packers last night. Watching the highlights this morning, heart sank when goff gave up the early interception, but then the defence got going and the offence started to score points to create a whole lot of daylight between the teams.
Obviously got nervous as the packers came back into it (the lions haven’t moved that far away from their losing history)but they closed it out well..

Think maybe the lions have punctured the pre season thoughts on the packers being dark horses for the division. Love got sacked and hurried a lot by that lions front, and the offense didn’t seem to have enough firepower to keep pace with the lions as they kept the scoreboard ticking over..
Love seems decent enough but wonder if the growing pains of his first starting season means they fall short of the playoffs..

  • Fun day out with @Aroogah and mini Aroogah.

    Falcons were trash.

  • Really glad I didn’t try and get tickets to that game..
Falcons not investing in a quarterback is a mystery, ridder doesn’t look like he’s able to cut it and they’ve got too many offensive weapons to be held back by a not very good “game manager”

  • On another note, who is the offensive Co-ord for Carolina, because their red zone offense is awful. Run, run, run all stuffed.
Also the commanders are giving the eagles so many problems, wonder what the critics/voices will say about this bienemy offense, because Sam Howell looks like a player! And the offense are putting points on this eagles vaunted defense..

  • Also also also, buffalo are laying the smack down on the dolphins, feel like there’s a lot of you think you’re good, we’ll show you whose good going on in this game.
Getting good non yolo josh Allen and the bills defense is forcing turnovers as the offense is keeping the scoreboard ticking over with touchdowns

  • Bills game next week is gonna be good!

  • Awesome day. Thank you. I think I still owe you a round.

Thanks also to your WaPo contact for the hookup.

  • Holy shit. We are putting up a fight against the Steelers.

Lots of teams starting to really get their act together this week. Bears looks better. Jags played well, Titans looking like a Vrabel team. Bucs have a pulse. Baltimore, Rams and Panthers too.

Denver remain the LOLCows of the NFL. This pleases me. I hate Sean Peyton.

  • Really glad I didn’t try and get tickets to that game..

Tannehill or Cousins starting for the Falcons next year?

  • I know blank isn’t going to sign off on this but kaepernick feels like the perfect quarterback for what Arthur smith wants to do.

Also also also also, if Sean Payton keeps losing with the broncos say they go 0-6 or something do the broncos cut bait or are they in it for the long haul. Because they are getting beat up in a lot of different ways by a lot of different teams..
