• Next issue: floor tiles are 19.8cm and wall tiles are 14.8cm.

    Does that matter?

Floor tiles will be black and white, wall tiles plain white.

    We'd rather not have skirting.

  • As in floor joints won't line through with wall joints?

It is near certain that you're bathroom walls will not be perfectly perpendicular so without throwing lots of money at this to fully correct and dub them out, it will be near impossible to get alignment working all the way around. Better to have the floor/wall alignment off all around rather than 95% there with the imperfections being glaringly obvious.

I set our bathroom out based on 97x97cm white square tiles trying to avoid/minimise cut tiles and it's a fool's errand!

  • As in floor joints won't line through with wall joints?

Not really that because I assume that wouldn't happen anyway.

More just does it look odd or wrong to have squares of one size on the floor butting up against squares of another on the wall?
