Motors are on each rear wheel, that thing and the pedals aren’t mechanically linked to the drivetrain, god knows what you do if the battery dies

The European mind cannot comprehend this

Weird

Anyone put a front wheel motor on an Omnium? I wonder if the fork is sturdy enough to take the forces?
-
• #12531
There is a nice one on here but can't remember who built it.

If you become desperate I could order a set, and we save 3€ per tire?
Then I could send one to you. Would probably get lost in customs or cost 50£ taxes tough. -
• #12533
Ah no. Almost no saving for the fat one if you buy 2.
-
• #12534
Ah you want two?
Cheapest set is 64€ shipping to UK is 27€. -
• #12536
The machine doing the ISO test broke before the fork did.
Front hub motors are never good though, mid-drive if you must.
-
• #12537
Well that's encouraging. I've actually got a Bafang mid-drive on now but don't really like the wide q-factor. Maybe sans-motor and getting strong is the best way.

I've really been enjoying the front hub on the bullit, two wheel drive is great!
-
• #12539
Any rear rack recommendations for the Bullitt? The Larry vs Harry ones are out of stock atm so wondered if anyone is using anything different?
-
• #12540
I have a Tortec Transalp, fixed to one of those rack mount seatclamps. Works fine.

Where did you see this?

On reifen.com. Was in the Google shopping results.
No UK in the delivery drop-down.
The moment we add whatever sending the money costs one tire will probably cost 50€.

Can you install the Bafang without the speedo and the throttle?
-
• #12545
Yup, definitely without the speedo (just disconnect the sensor). Pretty sure you can do the same for the throttle (it is useful without torque sensing though).
-
• #12546
Cheers! I don't really need e-power but I thought it might be fun since they're so cheap and easy to install (are they??).
-
• #12547
Weve got one at work in Bristol you'd be welcome to borrow?
-
• #12548
Amazing, PM incoming.

Picked up a Justlong for £700 and it's been a blast so far, I thought it would stop my cargo fighting. (they were previously crammed into a Burley trailer) but now they fight and also try and stick their finger in my bum, fail

Reasonably! You're talking about a mid-drive I assume? They do add a considerable weight to the bike, so you will find you need e-power once you've got it.
Ist that just a „mid mounted“ hub motor?
