Shit, I don't even take a box. I carry some allen keys. If I've done more damage than that I'm looking for a shop or in hospital.

The advantage of neatly cutting out the foam and laying your tools out is that you can instantly see if one is missing before you head off to wherever. Which means you can find it, put it back in its place, then bugger off.
