  • Very old forum joke. It’s like stripy paint or fork handles.

  • Anyone got a telescopic seatpost for sale?

  • Hello Hoke, I have a telescopic seatpost. I can't believe this is for you, or have you suddenly grown lots? Send me a pm.

  • I’ve just added some bags, the plant is permanent btw

  • It’s more of a front bag garden … growing fruit and veg etc…. Like a Brompton allotment..
    (Jeez I’m a T$¥T)

  • Quite excited for new Brompton day today.

2 x C-line electrics in coming for commute and general weekend transport around Cardiff ( not super hilly but went electric to hopefully allow off bike and into surgery without getting sweaty and showering at work).

  • They are fun, biggest downside is the weight if you're carrying them around.

  • Recommendations for SE London store to get a seat-tube liner replaced?

  • Quick blast around town has indeed confirmed they are fucking brilliant.

  • Superb. Is this Brompto 'Chips'?

  • Chris Compton Cycles, just off the South Circ in Catford.

  • Agree with @JurekB - mine's going in for the same job at Compton Cycles, which is where I bought it from originally, on Monday.

  • also agree, mine got the sleeve done a couple months back at Compton - quick, good & local (to me!)

  • I got this
    https://velocityprintworks.com/product/brompton-mid-stop-block/
That @general_greyharbour very kindly sent through to me.

Had a few goes at working out where it went and which way round and I may give it a slight sand to make it a little smoother but does the job great

The unfolding whilst wheeling has bugged me for years and it's such a simple solution.

  • I had to go the 5miles to the petrol station to get some fuel for the lawnmower this morning, so of course I took the Brompton. The perfect tool for the job. As it’s the only bike I’ve got with a bag big enough to hold the jerry can, Lilybook stolen my pizza rack for one of her bikes.

  • Nice one.
    Glad it did the trick.

  • Ace, thanks for the recommendation for Compton Cycles all, that's perfect.

  • How can Brompton charge £106 for the black telescopic seat post when the extended is pretty much a third of the price? Madness.

  • I met the Brompton legend that is @HoKe this am.
All will be pleased to know that he has reverted to aluminium rims...

  • Yeah, after my wheels exploded using tubolito inner tubes I’ve revert back to aluminium rims (mini-mod) from Brompton man Ryan.

  • Brompton also charge £40+ for their handlebars… I import jk for £25 and they are lighter, wider, nicer finish and have graphics…

  • Nice wheels pal!

  • Damn, how'd that happen. Got pics lol?

  • Further up in thread I think, looked gruesome.

  • Yikes! Of course it would be overheating with a tpu (and true with latex) tube.
