if people are moaning about the price, just send them to Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tactical-Keychain-Release-Carabiner-Backpack/dp/B0BXP68YB8/ref=sr_1_22?crid=22M6XPP2P4XOX&keywords=tactical+key+clip&qid=1693842529&sprefix=tactical+key+clip%2Caps%2C213&sr=8-22
personally I still use your OG clip every day, and can't fault the quality at all,.

Just a heads up to keep you up to date on these keyclips. There is good news, and bad news!
The bad news is that the Cobra buckles are on back order from the supplier so there is a delay there until they receive them...
The good news is that through some clever redesign and swapping certain parts of the Dot press studs into the 'wrong' order I've been able to make it so that the top section can now be swapped by the user between the two versions, without needing a second top half of the buckle. I will also use the same feature on the bottom section.
This means people can buy the alternative top section for less with no Cobra buckle involved, and it also means every single part of the keyclip can be replaced separately, by the user, with no tools.
Visually the keyclip looks and functions exactly the same. Hopefully this will make people happy? π -

It makes me happy!
-

Woot. Sign me up for a cobra-clipless top half when they are available.
-
• #759
Thatβs good to hear but I wonβt be buying the extra top.
Because mine is absolutely perfect and has been worn everyday since purchase.

• #761
Awesome. Count me in.
-
• #762
Not sure of that affects the other version as Im not bothered about the 1st version.
-
• #763
I'd like to get both tops on my order please. Although I suspect you already know that...
-
• #764
How much should I send for this please Scott!
-
• #765
what exactly does the non cobra version described above look like? potentially keen!
-
• #766
That was the old version that I think a lot of us had, clip either side and a nice bit of webbing with a BRP patch on it.
-
• #767
I'm not sure if there's some confusion here.
So the alternative version of the new keyclip, the one people asked for that could be clipped to a trouser loop instead of needing to be threaded onto a belt would originally have needed a female half of a cobra buckle attached to it, the same as the belt loop version.
But I have now tweaked the design so that both top sections can be removed from the cobra buckle completely and interchanged, without affecting the appearance or function.
This means that if you want both top sections, you can now do so a little more cheaply. π -

Hang on until they're ready and I'll update.

Any updates on the next batch Scott.

I should have had the buckles two days ago, but UPS has failed to deliver twice now. I changed the address last night to a local collection point in the hope they don't take them away a third time.
The proof for the non belt loop version is being sent to me this week to check.
I'm still out 15hrs a day, working 7 days a week at the moment so when the buckles actually arrive I'll have to squeeze them in the few hours I have on Saturday and Sunday between the 4am shift and the afternoon shift.
Sorry they're taking so long. π -
• #771
Donβt flog yourself too hard - people will survive without their buckles for an extra week or so.
-
• #772
I'm not sure the dot button will pass through the cobra buckle to swap it?
But no rush..as and when.
-
• #773
It doesn't need to π
-
• #774
Sorry to hear your working so much Scott, no rush. Looking forward to seeing them.

The keyclips aren't ready yet, but this shows you what the non belt loop version looks like.
As I said, both the top and bottom Hypalon sections can be removed from the buckle without tools, allowing you to swap or replace any part of the keyclip, but they still look exactly the same as they originally did. π

Paid and a bump for the V2 one.
