I rode this on Saturday, really great route although I’ve since made a version that edits out any off road at all (short sections but I want to avoid next time as I just felt I was tempting puncture fate), saved here for anyone that wants it:

Did this off road route down to Brighton today. Much of the route is down the Downs Link which is pretty easy going and near flat although there are some climbs and the final one is pretty spicey
Ride was just over 150kms by the end although not helped by my poor navigation to the route's start from North London.

Anyone done/doing the BHF L2B off road ride? I’ve been in denial that I’m doing it Sat, not been near my bikes in a while 😬😅 if anyone is familiar with the route grateful to know what sort of impact the recent rain would have had on the terrain. I mean, I am committed, I think, but good to know if it’s likely to be a mud bath! Cheers 🙂

Just putting this in here in case it's useful for anyone for future ref. Did it, rigid MTB which I regret a bit, at least my arse does, but it was good on the roads/downs link. Nice scenic towpaths and roads for the first 10m, then some quite nice singletrack and a gnarly descent around 10-20m lots of flat/boring but reasonably pleasant Downs Link after that a steep climp around Beeding Hill which most walked up follwed by some flowing tracks and lovely views. Well organised event. I'd use a bike with some bounce next time to save my rear end and arms as I'd rather enjoy the bit of of fun stuff. This was the route:
