I was toying with your suggestion but this is the only watch I’d need it for and I don’t really wear it much. I’d also have to buy some sort of magnifying kit so in the end I just went to the bloke in Vauxhall. The watch is so old it’s never going to be fully waterproof without major work and I don’t use it for any aquatic action.

I actually got a battery and watch service kit off Amazon.
Peanuts and figured it would pay for itself.
I don't need it to be sealed as I don't use it to wash up.
Speaking of which my 2000 series needs a new one again! Better get onto it...
(Although I'm strangely addicted to the 5 second sweep)
