yeah you got me there

It’s a really nice build. I’d bet that fits 28mm tyres too for any prospective buyers.

Very nice indeed. And I don't think you are far out on the price. If it were a 54 I would seriously have to consider it. Glws dude

Do consider it - I'm no taller than you, usually ride 54 and seriously miss my caad 5 which was 56

I genuinely think they fit quite tight & on the smaller side, the above image (with 7900) is with an inline post & 140 stem

I hear you fellas. But not going bigger than a 54. Besides I would only want from and fork from this anyway. Reckon is a good deal as is for someone to get a lovely ride with no messing

I’ll also throw in the SKS Raceblade longs which I used on it.

Will move this over to FB Marketpalce and eBay soon

I really need to move this on in order to build a new winter bike.

Anyone interested in parts if I were split everything? groupset, frame & fork, saddle, seatpost

V surprised this hasn’t been snapped up. I’ve seen it in the flesh (I bought Callum’s TV) and it’s a weapon - light and perfectly done. Superb condition too.

The frame / fork is what, 20 years old? Market for that kind of thing isn't huge.

You’re obviously right as it’s still here.
For £750 I don’t think I’d be able to find something I’d prefer to ride than this, but maybe I just fall into that niche market. Keep thinking about replacing mine with something modern but then I back out as I don’t see that the cost outlay is worth it.
It appears rim brake, is officially dead.

fwiw I recently sold the same bike (really good condition frame in black with DA7800) and it took me a very very long time to sell. I had it priced similarly (which I thought was fair) but as mentioned above its a niche market. I ended up selling to someone who was buying their first road bike for 550 €
but if anyone is interested, it's a very capable bike despite its age. if I didn't need the money I wouldve kept mine.

Also fwiw I picked up an R800 from this era, totally and I mean totally mint, for £300 recently on eBay. It's got on it a 9 speed Ultegra/105 mix contemporary to the f&f, and possibly an inferior fork to the R1000 (Slice Ultra SI), though I don't know much about that.

Free bump - I've got one of these and they're a joy to ride still. however like others have said, its pretty niche and unfortunately only valued by the vintage CAAD connoisseurs. GLWS.

Could you possibly provide measurements for seat tube, top tube and head tube? Thank you
