Just heading over to pick it up - it’s pretty much as I’d always hoped to build it. I collected the 11 Speed chorus group as I really liked the aesthetic of the rear mech silver/black combo… I’ve build a few bikes with this group but I don’t think I ever did it justice so I handed it over to an expert, and got a bike fit… the stem is potentially temporary, just waiting to find a 3T arc II in 100mm -17 which I might paint in the same blue…
The wheels are the bitex on Oxic rims I’ve taken off the Parlee while it gets repaired, then I’ll look for some carbon wheels for that… tyres are 28c turbo cottons…
The cable outers are very purposely Shimano as I wanted the grey and as a nod to all the gazelles I’ve seen from the Netherlands, if they’d been ridden then there was always a Shimano component mixed in - usually the brake levers…
Bars are Neo-classics as I love the shape, but this means that the hoods don’t align flush with the flat tops, but happy to pretend that this is also a nod to a trad bar and lever junction…
