  • Yes exactly. It depends on usage. But I still need to figure out how many I want/need. Some people will only be able to fit one and some people have the need for three.

    And thank you

  • Sooooon. Got to get bespoked out of the way and figure out shipping etc. Might make sense to sell the cages through Stayer Cycles in the UK. Will have to look into this

  • 2 left handed for me

  • Those are good. Like the perfection of the round part in combination with simple no nonsense flat piece.

  • Watching keenly! Impressive that you've made the leap to set up a business from a serious hobby/side hustle, no mean feat. Count me in for some UK-based bidons and cages to support.

  • Thank you! Love the support.

  • If you are interested in seeing how the cages are made and you are not on IG here's a little rough edit of the process. https://photos.app.goo.gl/nSUBsTkKRViUzGEEA

I'll do a YouTube video with more in depth explanation later.

  • Super nice to see some intense prototyping, count me in with the cages if EU shipping will be a thing!

  • Nice job! Will you bake them in your new oven?

  • I’d also be in for a couple of the cages

  • Are you talking about the cages or forks? The cages are stainless steel so won't need powder. But I have been thinking about testing heating them to get a nice colour.
I am a bit undecided on the finish and have asked people I know in the biz what my options are.
I sort of think I need to get a tumbler for them.

  • Excellent 👍

    Current iteration is 68g btw

  • Weight sounds good, just take my money and be done with it 😀

Guess I’d need a brace of sweet bidons too

  • Tumbling will dull them. We the people demand shiny

  • Some people also like black. Hence baking question. Stainless is still great for inevitable scratches.

  • Cost extra then:)

  • Cold blue would be original and look super cool

  • Yes boss. Gun blueing might not work on stainless. I've done some hematite tests in the past and they looked more brown than black

  • I think you’re right, hot bluing looks to be the way to get it going on stainless but that’s probably a bit involved for this

  • Well just shy of 300°c should get me a nice blue. I will do some experiments. Limited edition options is definitely something I'd enjoy doing. The whole point of my business is to keep things fun for myself. I can't do the same thing every day

  • Ah I was still thinking of a chemical solution and heat.

  • I feel am past this phase of using unnecessary chemicals, but I'll have a think
