Exactly. But I think the distinction between different nuts is important, so Walnüsse. Having a bag of Hazelnuts as tires would probably be more comfortable than Marathons.

suspension stems
Sounds like someone needs to let out some air out the front tyre ayy
-
• #28354
Can we talk about something else now like suspension stems?
Yh, c'mon, let's hear about the RedShift stems y'all bought
-
• #28355
Not if they're 23s.
-
• #28356
20mm tyres + Redshift stem. I'm onto a winner here!
-
• #28357
There is a compromise. You're only considering rolling resistance. 42mm tyres are significantly less aero than 23mm and this will be a not insignificant drag at higher speeds.
And if one's using aero rims, there's none optimized for such fat tyres.
-
• #28358
I have no idea about aero, but there's quite some 25mm plus internal aero rims?
3t discus for example. -
• #28359
I think most of us all either too chunky, or too hipstery for tight jerseys, so aero is moot
Also if you're faster you spend less time outside
-
• #28360
Lol who is brave enough to bring up Jan Heine's fairing mudguards
-
• #28361
Light Bicycle WG 44. It would be ~105% with a 38c tyre.
-
• #28362
Is chunky not aero? Does it depend where you carry the chunks?
-
• #28363
We should all strive to being our own fairings
-
• #28364
Pages of fucking nonsense on tyre performance and aerodynamics in the fucking gravel thread? Give me strength.

• #28365
Praying for your laminar boundary layer
-
• #28366
Where else, bruh??
-
• #28367
2.2” tyres on a 19.5mm internal rim? Ok or new teeth?

Welcome to mountain biking 20 years ago

I just can’t be arsed to build a new pair of wheels
-
• #28370
I really wouldn't worry about it :-)
-
• #28371
If you never wash your bike and ride in constantly wet SFAB conditions would your bike become fully aero over time?
-
• #28372
like a pebble?
-
• #28373
no wait, like a snowball.
-
• #28374
I could join this discussion with aero bars and 57mm wide tyres on my HHSGB

Does tubeless make a difference (I’m new to this off road stuff)
