I have a conundrum. I have a 42 tyre that I want to wrap up in some pretty mudguard, but the fork only clears around 45cm. GB mudguards come in 40mm and 50mm width at 650b. The former might touch the tyre, the latter won't fit in the fork without bending. I'm very reluctant to bend stainless steel mudguards, is there a safe way to do it without ruining the shape?
Or should I go chromoplastic and file away the bit under the fork?
