This is quite good.

Good result. I had been wondering how the ceramic bezel on my P39 will last. It’s clearly pretty amazing the way it’s made, the lume inserts are so sharp and flush, it just feels like a single piece, but I wondered if the lume was at risk of damage. Will keep an eye on it.

Some great watches there. I actually kind of almost think the Eichi II justifies its price. Maybe. Blue dial is definitely the one.

It’s a grand (!) cheaper on their website: https://www.burrells.co.uk/pre-owned-rolex-gmt-master-ii-watch-126710blro-4411055-4411054
The URL is confusing as well.

At that price it looks decent value. Unless I have missed something obvious?

Buy it online then.
They're obviously targeting causal foot traffic with the higher price

Idk, seems odd to have two different prices, and the £8,950 one makes it well priced compared to Chrono24 and Watchfinder asking prices.
I looked at it in person and it's got fine scratches which you would expect from it being worn, but (to my very inexpert eye) it looked un-polished and very close to new.
I'm very tempted, at the web price.

Web price does look competitive if watch is in good nick. Might want to ask if it comes with all the bracelet links - these are worth about £50-£60 a link so would be annoying if you're a few short.

THere's a thread on this on TZUK if you're interested - search for Pelagos advice re lume falling out of bezel. It looks like summer holidays / swimming in sunny climes is some sort of kryptonite to the lume blocks - it's deffo a recognised thing, annoyingly (although hopefully rare). Has apparently been reported happening on a FXD as well, which is super disappointing.

There are no links in the box, but I tried it on and I'd need 2-3 removed for it to fit me.
I'd say it's in good nick.

Ha that was one of the things I looked at when I figured out what had happened, and gave me some encouragement that I might be able to get it sorted for free outside warranty. Well happy with the result, seems to have come back more accurate too! Inspired me to brush the bracelet last night which was a bit scratched and it’s looking pretty sharp now 😎 @Regal yes keep an eye, although I think it may not be so much of an issue now as they have slightly changed them, you can tell the newer bezel as the numbers have a slightly thinner font.

Good news re links (if you don't need them to fit, it's really more a bargaining/resale point as it's an angle for a price chip). I'm not sure how much you're interested in getting the fabled "full set" (which is a matter of debate - some people insisting on getting receipts / hang tags / packaging containing the box etc), but the website just talks about the original box and not the other accoutrements. Won't matter if it's a keeper, and in all honesty unlikely to hurt any resale much anyway.
Very worrying to see that the spec states that it doesn't have a back light, though.

Good stuff! Yep, there's weirdly definitely a "safety in numbers" thing when it comes to problems with watches - much more likely to get them to cough to fixing it! Those two-liners are the biz :)

Nice 😎 FYI there a brand new one for sale from a jewellers via eBay here for 9,350 or best offer so reckon you could get it down a bit, looks like it still has the stickers on the clasp. Depends how you feel about dealing by post vs in person too of course.

Personally i think thats great if youre trying to avoid moody, but im with you... Not sure why everyone craves it like crack.

It's a 'smell' that the person who bought it cared
-
• #74119
mmmmm - such careness
...the smell of a second hand well worn leather strap...
-
• #74120
Unworn is compelling- then I get to scratch it myself.
-
• #74121
Almost like new for me... You dont have to take the financial bump with the physical (and often times emotional) bump.
If you buy something secondhand you dont have those worries!
-
• #74122
If the price is the same surely a no brainer to go new/full set… looks like someone bought that one.

Great deal here for anyone after the 35 auto green dial. I am holding out for the blue.
-
• #74124
I have no idea why they would do that. It’s a fabulous watch and great value at full rrp.
An absolute bargain.
Even with lfgss friends and family discount I couldn’t get near that.
Unless Ernest jones can’t sell the 35mm. -

Question.
what do you buy boxed with tags 35mm prx's for?
Go for it!
