  • New 20mph limits in Wales not going down well. 200,000 petiton and the Welsh conservatives getting behind the petition (who I assume are as bad as non welsh conservatives).

    Image getting that upset that you have to drive a bit slower around vulnerable people.

    What's an average car journey, about 3 miles or something isn't it, so at most, about 2 or 3 minutes longer. Presumably though there would be less slowing down at roundabouts etc as less bunching and all that?

    I'd welcome a 20mph on my road, in fact I'm going to email the council now.

    For most of my car trips in 20mph areas the limit are junction throughput. Driving faster just gets you to the back of the queue faster. Spaniards Road in Hampstead is the best illustration.

    Without enforcement it does very little.
