Got to ride in the back of a later full on luxury Pallas Version of those a long time ago on Elba. And my dad briefly had a white GTi.
Incredible cars.House looks good! The strange bricks vs standard wood is quite charming. Nice that you're going for a bit of colour also.

Fig tree
I'd be warry of having near a house in case it gets too large and the roots become invasive.

Figs, in the UK, in relatively rich soil, need their roots constrained to nudge them into fruit production rather than leaves & branches. Consider where you've seen Fig trees around the Med coastline, barely clinging onto bare rock, or at the edge of a loose gravelled car park. A UK garden environment is much easier to thrive in.
Old school gardening books used to suggest lining a hole with (5) paving slabs. These days it is much easier to plant a fig inside a used washing machine drum sunk into the ground. The many small holes ensure soil moisture can reach the roots of the Fig, but also limit the size of the roots that can venture out.

That could look fab at the front of the house to the left of the front door trained to grow up.
Looking to do some gravel/ rubble/stone Old steel rsj / wood type Mediterranean garden at the front.
Have an olive in a big pot I can put at the front too -

Oh shit so the fig I have in the raised bed in front of my new shed is a ticking timebomb?
-
• #117
Nah,
well not in the short term.
It just won't pay its way with fruit as the roots grow without restraint. -

We shall call this 13 Haus or orange haus (joking)
Any ideas for the garage door colour which will be a side hinged 50/50 split?
Can’t be too dark as it’s south facing so may fade if too dark .
Bricks will be matched at some point but part of me wants to paint the house white!

That door looks aces! We are 💯 painting our door and recess a bright colour now. Yellow in our case.
As for the garage door? Hmm maybe taupe as it seems to take on the colours around it. -

That reminds me of my old Bob Jackson Vigorelli in “french beige enamel” - good call !

Sounds lovely. Something to consider is that when there's that much daylight at play then pending orientation of the windows it can be nice to have the lighting on the opposite wall as the drop off in brightness can be quite severe. Also generally more pleasant to light a nice wall rather than a window/curtain.
Saying that, In a bedroom with that much daylight i doubt you'll be using artificial light in the day so probably not a concern for that space.
