Siegmund Welding table - bike frame flat table

Posted on
  • I'm selling this as we are upgrading to something larger - it's been in the second welding bay and hasn't been used much - only for TIG so no splatter. Some marks from use.
    It's 1200x800 with a 12mm plate and 16mm holes spaced 50mm apart.
The top plate is the 8.7 plasma nitrated version - so heat treated tool steel quality. Made in Germany. More here:

Most industry welding clamps are designed around 16mm holes so you are not stuck with Siegmund - although they are best.
This is a different kettle of fish to the lasercut versions about, proper durability and you get the storage below.
This is ideal for a bike frame jig laying flat - use prism tube v-blocks shimmed to the correct height for the tube diameter and hold down with tube clamps. Very accurate and very simple.

    New cost was
£1300+vat table with drawers with promo offer from the time.
    £200ish delivery from Germany
    £200+ - 4x table extensions
    £40 - fixings for extensions
    £100'odd - extra drawer
£80 casters - we made our own trolley to raise it up and add the casters. It just sits in the trolley So is removable.
Please bear in mind the pictures show a gap in the drawers, that is now filled with an extra drawer so it has 5 drawers.

    Selling for £1200+vat ono
Currently in Norwich but can bring down to Harlow, Essex just outside of London.
It's heavy, 4 person struggle to lift - but the top can be unbolted if you don't have 6 people or a forklift. Could be shipped on a double pallet for approx £150'ish potentially.

Will leave here for a week and hope for a nice buyer before trying the racket on eBay or elsewhere. 🙏

Not sure if the attachment works, will try again in the morning.

  • Pics not working.
Glws, I’d love this but doubt I’d be able to twist my bosses arm and can’t afford it myself.
    Lovely stuff.

  • Thanks! I'll upload pictures tomorrow 👍

I got a business loan to buy my first table, it paid for itself quickly after a few batch jobs - it's so quick to set up a jig. Because it's metric and the stops have holes in metric positions you can set a jig for a 250x500mm rectangle in 20 seconds and you don't need to check it with a ruler really.
I just budgeted for a bit of tooling extra year.

They're great for bike frames and allow you to make other things too.

I think this table with the 8.7 hardness top is about £1600+vat now and shipping from Germany is a killer.

  • Dibs? Will dm.

(Undibs as would require a pledge drive to buy)

  • Sure you can't be tempted?
