  • I've run 600 or so miles in the Clifton 7 and about the same in Clifton 8. Whilst I thought the Clifton 7 felt like a slightly better fit for me, I've never had any issues with either. I'm around 75kgs currently but was up to 82 at one point, both pairs are still perfectly useable. They're very cushioned which I did like, especially on days when I can't be bothered to stay on my forefoot!

I've done one marathon in each so perfectly good for longer runs too.

  • I loved the feel of Clifton 7 but they tore at the arch - after about 600 miles so I shouldn't complain too much, but used to getting 1,000+ miles out of a good daily trainer. Currently in Saucony Ride 15, maybe not quite as cushioned but a nice ride and durability seems pretty good.

I've been enjoying a few different experiences at parkrun recently. A few double buggy runs (current buggy pb 19:23, on grass around Charlton Park), some volunteering (20 mins pacing, also Charlton Park) and most recently a proper non-buggy blast around Dulwich Park last week, which we used as our club 5k champs. (Whilst also putting forward some volunteers for the morning to keep everyone happy.) 16:53, my first sub-17 since becoming a dad. Pretty happy with that off the more limited mileage I've been doing.

This weekend is the Southern Relays at Aldershot. (Anyone??) I'm on the glory leg for the V50 team (4 x 6k). Hoping for a medal but no idea what the competition will be like.
