Former Neo and Flux (don't get the Flux) user currently on a Kickr 18 (v4?). I'm lucky enough to have a permanent setup, but the outer arms of the Kickr also fold inwards if you need so maybe a similarly small footprint to a Neo if needed? I'm very happy with the Kickr and would never go back to a Tacx, probably out of blind loyalty and being in the Wahoo "ecosystem". If you want to ride without plugging in, Neo is the only option though.
Has anyone used both the Tacx neo and the kickr?
They’re reasonably affordable (it’s still fucking pricy though) atm on wiggle.
I like the idea of the neo folding up vs the kickr just being there. I’ve read the neonmakes you work harder for your watts when “racing” on zwift.
Which would be its major use tbh.
Upgrading from a big yellow fluid trainer and power meter - unsure why, there’s always a vague “I could do turbo?” From other people in my house but I don’t think they know how fucking grim it is.
