Assuming today is processional so Kuss has won basically barring a catastrophic dnf?

Roglic's method of winning races is to gain time little and often rather than go for attacks further out.
Apart from when he gains 40 seconds on the ITT despite his chain coming off :P
In general that is true, but it made it all the less likely he was going to make up that minute. So I still think it's a weird flex - being angry that you weren't allowed to win a race you weren't going to win anyway - although I can understand him being miffed under the circumstances.

Yes. Also JV have clearly decided that based on yesterday's finish and Ayuso is 2 mins 36 s down on Rog.

Hmm - interesting they were allowed a final stage switch out kit. Must have had that signed off before the event.

There's a set number of times a team can do it during the year, presumably to a) stop clashes with leader's jersies at the GTs and b) to allow sponsors to change it to support a specific marketing campaign.
It might only be one change a year, but frankly I can't be arsed looking up the UCI rules on this.

Yes, I'm sure it's only meant to be one change in a season from the times we've done it. Maybe they get let off as the tdf is an enforced change from yellow. Who knows though?

Good stat that UAE are the first team to win the White jersey in all 3 GTs. And also with 3 different riders.

Does anyone have stats on riders that rode all three GTs in one year as well as winning one?

Punishment is just a slap on the wrist and 500CHF fine per rider, so I would imagine they just sucked up the fine in exchange for the PR (if fined at all).
IMO the biggest and best PR move they could have made would have been the three of them riding their pink, yellow, and red Cervelos over the finish. That would have been a priceless photo.
I will always be a bit sad that this once in a lifetime opportunity was missed!

I like Sep Kuss. I don't care what anyone else says, I think he is a very nice man. And his dog is cute. He fully deserved the chance to accept the gift of a GC win.

EF-Easypost have signed Lukas Nerurkar from next season, yet another pesky VCL kid to make the step up to the WT. I make that six now, quite the production line.

Luckily he became a team leader mid-race so there was no gifting really.
Worst GT ever.
