  • Nuff Rolex subs on C24 for £7k-ish that look in better nick than this Tudor. But I totally get if rarity/hipster points are the reason.

  • How many rarity/hipster points do you get with this for £6650?

  • Living.

    Are the numerals lumed?

  • Cheers

They are like that of a diver. It's a struggle to read after a few hours but not surprised

  • So. Much. Patina. 😍

  • Does anyone have a recommendation for a watch service guy in eastish London?

My dad died earlier this year and I've dug out an old watch of his, a Sicura 400 Submariner, which I'd like to get cleaned up and working. Can anyone recommend someone who could do a good job? I want to avoid picking a place at random as I've heard way too many horror stories about repair guys replacing things without consent, and on a watch this emotionally charged, I want to avoid that.

  • The Watch Service Centre Clerkenwell

  • Sorry to hear that, sounds like a lovely keepsake. You would have to send the watch in, but I have used ‘The Watch Guy’ for two of my watches and been happy with the service, you also get great pictures of the process. Curious about the place in Clerkenwell actually as I’ve walked past a few times.

  • Sorry to hear this 🙁

  • Watch service centre was great 5 years ago. Proper old school setup. They fixed my dads memomatic when he decided he didn't want it and if I wanted it I had to get it sorted.

No idea if things have changed but the proprietors were not spring chickens even then.

  • Thanks all, really appreciate it.

  • You would need to send the watch to him but I can wholeheartedly recommend Mitka: https://mitka.co.uk

He will be 100% understanding and respectful.

  • I'm looking for a jubilee bracelet for a BB 58 Are Forstner better quality than Uncle Seiko?
    Anyone else making them?

  • Looks stunning on green nato..

Feel the same with the snowflake, nice on nato but better on bracelet..

  • I decided it was time to give some straps what appears to be a well overdue wash.

  • Got to see a couple of nice bits up close the other day, inky blue Eichi II is nice but maybe not £50K nice.

  • Uber rare palladium VFA, amazing just how much the bracelet changes the vibe.

  • Yum, strap soup.

  • Definitely needed a clean.

Any recommendations on sites to buy buckles from? Looking for a ti one in particular.

  • Just received this back with a new bezel as some of the lume had fallen out. Happens on some apparently and not always easy to notice. AD did me a solid by talking Tudor down from ‘we’ll replace it but only with a £350 service’ to getting them to do it for free even though it’s 8-9 years old I think 😎

  • 2 liner is my fav pelly 👌

  • Local motorcycle mechanic's new assistant 'won' a Snap-On Seiko auto the other day. I told him to wear it not covet it. I think he'll leave it in the box hoping to return on it in the future. Either is fine with me, but I think he'll miss out on years of happiness if he doesn't just wear it as a daily beater.

In the mean time, since replacing the battery the Breitling Meca-Quartz has barely lost a second in months. I guess it was just dirty/loose battery contacts.

  • Back in Winky for a few days, Burrells on the high street has an Explorer II for £9,950.

    It’s a ‘21 226
