yes, Its an entry level JDM model. Though very similar to the SBGX259 / SBGX261 / SBGX263 you can buy over here. Hands & indices are indeed darker and duller than most other GS, almost look black in some pics .
High polished case is not ideal for a daily, but I wore a Plexiglass max bill for an extended period, and that didn't bother me too much . I'm not quite convinced I want a white face for a daily though .
What i do want is a nice quartz, 36-37mm, 43-46mm L2L, 100m WR, minimal, not too thick . currently between some kind of GS , or an older Aqua Terra , but cant seem to find a decent priced one . very keen to hear of any other suggestions people have

So, a black fxd...it looks fine. But can't help feel they're kicking the arse out of the FXD now. Looks best on the black rubber strap and not the green.
Surely not long until the blue P39.

There is also an older model with a double signed dial , sbgx095

Imagine making a countdown timer and a huge deal for a different colour bezel, strap and dial.

I’ve had a C24 alert set up for that first gen coaxial version 39mm Aqua Terra for ages. They used to be under two grand, they’re more like three now. The quartz ones shouldn’t be too hard to find? At least, I feel like I always see loads when I’m looking for the coaxial ones.
Edit: oh right, they’re two grand now…

yep, not hard to find , but now very expensive for what they are . Seem a little cheaper on eBay compared to chrono24. I remember the quartz versions being a little over a grand not that long ago .
~£2k for something that has an £80 ETA quartz movement in it is hard to justify. Not sure they will keep current values either, though of course I'm guessing there .
In comparison , A decent 9F GS can be had for ~£900-1100 with a little patience. It has a demonstrably better movement too. But the AT has more soul design-wise

Not sure Tudor read the room on this one

Hey, they also made the bezel unidirectional. For some reason

I actually quite like it though. I like the green strap. The extra hash marks around the 10 still bother me.

Vey nice, liking the dial colour. Pic is helping/ not helping with my current want for a 9F GS

Changing bars on my hardtail followed by going to the tip and the lido in the afternoon so old skool beater today (still one of my favourite watches).
Bought it when I needed a cheap watch for a holiday in RSA years ago, money very well spent.

Geeking out on the PRX auto movement. I’ve read that it is missing the regulator so independent watch makers can’t service it so it has to go back to a Tissot service centre for a service. Is there any truth to this?

Shit man, hopefully nothing serious!

Yep. They regulate them at the factory and there’s no “etachron” or similar regulator as there would be on a conventional 2824-2.

Should be fine. Just being overly cautious. I heard a tearing or crunching sound as i was warming up with a sharp pain and now flexing is rather painful. So not sure if its just a wrenching or if its more serious. Nothing to worry about, been here before :-)

Umm. It's a dive watch. No?
The non shininess is great, I agree.
