  • Enjoying home barista life, the pavoni has gone on long term loan to my little sister, so shouldn’t ever find a use for a second coffee machine I can have it back!

The hand grinder is beginning to errr grind, it’s like a minute for each coffee and is beginning to cause some pain in my wrist…

So, beginning to look a a grinder… according to everything I’ve seen it’s hard to look past the niche zero… any other suggestions out there…?

if anyone knows of a second hand good one let me know, there are a few on Facebook, but I don’t trust anyone on there…

  • It's all very budget dependant tbh. You can spend £100 to £1000s, but realistically Niche seems to do exactly what people want it to, and they seem a lot more reliable than some of the other new makers on the market (looking at you ODE and Wilfa).

  • I still rate my Silenzio, unless you’re single dosing, though even then it’s pretty easily adaptable. Even though they’re relatively small consumer units, the Mignon range are built more like commercial grinders - incredibly durable, handsome and consistent.

  • Is it just for espresso? If so one of my colleagues just bought a Mignon Libra grind-by-weight and loves it.
