Is there any gizmo that you can add to an old amp that allows remote controlled volume adjustment?

You could integrate some sort of preamp as suggested, but only really makes sense if your amp can be run as only power amp.

And there are volume control knobs with remote on eBay you could probably fit into your amp, but might be too much work and make sound worse.
