Somehow I missed that until the final credits. "A Michael Mann film" - ah, I thought, well that explains a lot.
@Soul I was essentially in the same state of fortunate ignorance. If it's that long since you watched it, definitely worth a revisit. There isn't a wasted scene or line in that film.

Watched Collateral the other day. One of those films I vaguely heard interesting reviews of at the time but missed. Added to the list of surprisingly good films with Tom Cruise in, although Jamie Foxx does most of the heavy lifting.
