Wasn’t a choice, they were required to adopt a standard cable by the EU
I know - good intentions, road to hell etc.
It sounded like they were going to fight it for the bat-shit insane overreach that it actually was, but now I suspect it suits them, not customers, and makes the EU's thinking on this look good, which is kinda the worst of both worlds.
