So, a week on and no response from Blue Whippet re paint, have followed up but not exactly reassuring.
I’m still with the fadez but also thinking splatter (which the builder does in his own bikes, think Alpinestars)

Are those you bikes in the background? The tt(?) bike is interesting!

They are the builders bikes rather than mine and yes, the tt one does look good.

At the painters now, may even get it returned next week for final finishing off.
Tempting fate but I think I’ve got what I need for the build bar pedals.

I have full faith in myself to bodge the build - so far the chainring bolts, despite apparently being SS specific, require some sort of washers and the cassette will not seat properly on the wheels but I’m more ambitious in my efforts to address incompatibility.
In positive news, I’ve acetoned off the decals on the bars, fitted pedals to the cranks (despite sending a pedal washer into the long grass) and managed to fit the saddle successfully to the post #lifegoals

Just skim read the thread and couldn't see it - who's the builder?

It’s my friend doing it in his spare time, this is his 7th frame and the whole process has been great, really swift and loads of updates.
Very impressed with what I’ve seen so far, can’t wait to get my hands on it!!
