Your timely reminder for wbac to take the car in dirty and if possible take it when it's dark.
They won't knock off value for dirt and it hides scratches. They also are allowed to add some value back on once they've marked it down so haggle

Heard something about how the commision that the assessors get for knocking money off is less than if you manage to stick them a few quid - don't know if that's true, not sure I'd be able to bring myself to attempt to bribe them...

When I handed my lease car in (home collection) I plied the collector with coffee, cake and chocolate... Not much time to video the car and she put down the alloy marks and bodywork scratches as road dirt.

Failed to doctor the mileage though which hurt lol
