My wife and I had a son back in March, and I have always dreamt about riding an Omnium or Bullitt with my kids when that time would come. I went to test ride an Omnium at the local dealer Knuds Kiosk in Aarhus, and was imediately hooked, so I ordered a frameset and parts from Germany.
Life with a kid doesnt leave much time to work on bikes, so this is by far the slowest build I've ever done, but I'm very happy with the result.
I strapped our child seat from the car to the rack, and went on a ride with my son the other day, and it was a huge success.
Ironically, the only thing this cargo bike is missing at the moment is something to carry a water bottle, jacket, camera and snacks when we're riding, since the car seat takes up all of the rack. Maybe a home made frame bag is the next project.
