How do you know someone's got a Swatchpain? You can hear it before they tell you.
Do the Swatch X _ watches tick as loudly as their standard ones?
When I was younger I didn't notice or mind the Swatch tick. But now I just can't wear them.

they must be producing them for relative peanuts.
In their defense, while the price per unit is probably nothing, the license and marketing would be fairly punchy. So I doubt these carry a better margin than anything else they sell.
The value proposition of Timefactors is down to it being a guy doing all the legwork on his jays as a hobby business.

Cheers. That was really interesting.
However, just because Rolex filed their patient then released, doesn't necessarily mean that Blancpain couldn't have done it back-to-front.
The lack of docs and those pics from the release stand are pretty persuasive.

Licencing? It's one campany....

Interesting and funny

Licensing would probably be about 10-12% of retail but given it's all the same company that's just shifting profit internally.
Obviously social media campaigns cost but I don't think the advertising campaign has been costly enough to reflect the cost of the product against the retail.
People will buy it though so I guess they've priced it right and watches are something where the increase in quality is pretty marginal compared to the increase in cost.

They might have done it back to front, but their reasoning for claiming it being the first divers watch with a rotating bezel was that it must have come out the year before the patent because that’s how everyone did it. Which, apparently, isn’t true. And they have no other evidence.

Is that black pudding and smoked salmon on the same plate?

Hard no from me. Santos should be small, bimetal and bisexual eurotrash vibes.
However because of all of the above, I think that looks great.

Yeah definitely all that.
I just felt he laboured that point, and it felt like one of the weaker ones imo.

Yeah I'd be interested in how it all breaks down. I've no doubt they're making money.
(I get the point about shifting profits, but it they're still wearing the cost).

Wowsers - like it and congrats!
As one of the only other members of the big watch crew on this forum, I am concerned this means you are becoming worryingly refined. Your breakfast choice shows me there's still hope for you, you absolute animal :)

Salmon and black pudding go great together. Try it some time. Its something someone who doesnt have small, bimetal and bisexual eurotrash vibes would like.

How is the seiko 4R36 movement? I had the spb143 but let it go because the accuracy upset me. I am considering the snoopy diver as a daily.
Good read.
