what I mean is - in the photo it looks like rusty metal flaking up to reveal a hole in the chainstay bridge, in person it looks (to me) like rust-coloured lacquer flaking up to reveal an intact tube with some surface rust. question is, how can I protect the tube - is it "get the rear triangle resprayed"?
was giving my 2016 raw lacquer a clean today & noticed a bit of rust starting at rub points on the rear triangle - I think it looks worse in the pics than it looks in person, but what could/should I be doing to keep this in check? long-term I'm fairly chill as it's an excuse to switch to kinetics / rohloff, but...
