I was woken by my ring doorbell at 4am this morning to find someone trying to crowbar open my bike shed, I didn't do anything stupid as I was on my own with two kids, just called the police, but by the time I got through to the police the thief had already scarpered empty handed. I'm now not sure if they some how heard me get up / walk to the window or just got spooked by something else. They had managed to pop open one of the door deadbolts so were making progress. Police came and took details and uploaded images from the doorbell but was only the back of his head so pretty useless.
Anyway has anyone got any good advice as to how I discourage them from having another go tonight? Is a wooden Brighton Bike Shed so I'm going to reinforce where they crowbarred open the door and obviously the bikes are chained to a steel bar if they do get in but just feel a bit like a sitting duck at the moment.
Advice please?
