  • I like that

  • For that price it needs to come with a loupe to be able to gaze at the dial better!!

Agreed it's a bit of a price hike!

  • IMO the good one is the Milspec Hodinkee, same as the one above, except it’s no date, and the crown less side of the case isn’t engraved..

Different bezel ring also (thinks it’s better on the 2017 milspec)

Never seen one in person, can’t find any for sale at the moment..

Resale value completely unreasonable but I really like it..

  • Letting this ‘69 connie go so if anyone on here is interested let me know. It’s had a service by Watchguy earlier this year and can pass on a link with all the pictures of the movement/process. Ref is 168.018 🙂

  • Ahhhh now that's the one.

I have a feeling the Sistem51 Fathoms is going to flop. Literally who knows about the Fifty Fathoms, or Blancpain, outside of watch nerds? Omega is a much more widely known brand and the Moonwatch a much more widely known watch, surely.

  • I finally saw one of those Moonswatches being worn the other day. Did not look like £250 of watch.

  • Don't underestimate the ability for hype morons to generate buzz for something just because it's hard to get.

  • There will 100% be queues to buy it, then a flood of them on StockX, then hopefully people will realise there isn't the demand like the Moonswatch and let me buy one

  • Everyone: housing, food and fuel is too expensive!

Also everyone: let's blow a quarter of a grand on a really shit watch

  • I much prefer the Glashütte Original Seaq

  • To be honest I thought that and now wear my Mercury more than the BB58

  • Sad inditement of the BB58

  • the Moonwatch a much more widely known watch

Probably minimally known outside of people who like watches quite a bit.

I'd bet it's the hype that sells these in the main, rather than those appreciating the homage.

  • inditement - ha true, but not wanting to do desk diving the new T-Fit bracelet thats on it now.

  • That's really nice.

    Edit: googled price, ouch.

  • Yeah that would be one watch to rule, not flashy but just a well executed watch all round in a 39.5mm case too

  • what about this brand? xit?

  • Wolbrook do a pretty close imitation, I mean homage, for 400 euros (and there's usually a discount code somewhere) if you're keen on the look and don't need a date

    https://wolbrook.com/collections/skindiver-automatic-watches

  • I also have the Mercury and personally like it way more than I thought I would. It's just really easy as a daily on the bike and I was lucky enough to have no fuss getting it at all in Valencia, if anyone's visiting. People that aren't watch fans always comment on it, so I guess it's having the intended effect, whether that's good or not 🤷🏻

On a side note, love a bit of scampi!

  • I like this, then I tried it on when I was a way and the 'vintage' lume on the hands doesn't match the lume colour of the numerals, unforgivable for the price point! I'm guessing the hands may glow a different colour to the numerals but it didn't look good. Glashütte need a bike wake up on their marketing as well in my opinion.

  • Do you think they'll make the case for the Blancpain X Swatch collaboration out of plastic from the ocean because of the areas mentioned in the campaign??

  • New Zenith.. like
