From what I understand, the Smaller 43/30 Chainringed Gravel cranksets have a chainline that is 2.5mm wider than the 'road'versions which helps accommodate fatter tyres. This wide front derailleur works with the slightly wider chainline. I've done a little bit of research and the internet seems to say that the Wide front mech will still work with the larger chainrings. From experience we have run the Wide front mech on a chainset with the narrower chainline successfully.
I'm sure that If I'm wrong/have missed something, someone will correct me.

Noob Q, does wide refer to working with DUB or with cassette say up to a 36?
