  • they're on there fairly often, i use that bridge 2x a week. i didnt see them this am though so maybe had moved on by the time i got there

  • Looks like there was a big ol' car crash this morning on Alder Street in Whitechapel. All closed off with bits of car strewn across the street.

  • Hope nobody too badly hurt but seems unlikely from your description.

  • Ah I got the street wrong, looks like it happened last night and was still closed off this morning.

Unfortunately looks like 4 innocent bystanders were hit

  • Glorious ride to the station, went the long way to get the most of the sunrise.

  • Left my bike at work yesterday so got public transport in this morning. Seeing this magnificent trash fire in an already breathtaking location on my way from the station to work made it all worthwhile. Beautiful Canning Town.

  • Shit! Is that looking over towards Woolwich?

  • It's looking from Woolwich towards the City Airport, so towards the North

  • Ah, got you. Hope it wasn't too serious!

  • Fucking hell, that's huge.

  • It couldn't be another recent purchase by a property developer could it?

  • No photos, but riding over the hills as the sun has been coming up is honestly such an amazing start to the day.
I'm already dreading winter, commuting in the dark and shitty road conditions.

  • thoughts and prayers to those riding past schools on their commute this week as the new term begins.
the school term started last week up here and there's been a noticeable increase in "must do a close pass to get in front so I can pull in 20 metres up the road and fling open all the car doors without looking" business.

  • The summer has been bloody lovely for lack of cars commuting around here

  • Forgot to post this last week.
Delivery rider made it through the northern barriers on Blackfriars Bridge but discovered the southern ones are slightly smaller...!
(I did try to help but he was stuck fast and he'd called company to help remove the axle)

  • I want to say lol but that's just mean.

  • This seems to happen more often than you’d think! I’ve seen it twice before.. must feel really weird

  • The guy was fine and could laugh about it :-)
He said he went slowly but the weight/momentum meant he couldn't stop it happening

  • Part of my daily commute takes me along the side of the the river Yare, it’s part of the broads national park and is stunningly beautiful. Yesterday afternoon as I rode through there were families out in force enjoying the lovely sunshine and fantastic views. Some were having bbqs on the river bank, a truly wonderful thing to see, but why’s that Clio parked half in the hedge just along a bit? I bet they have parked there to avoid paying to park and it’s a whole 10m closer to where they want to bbq? Oh no my mistake, it’s the perfect place for the driver to sit and smoke some heroin. And they drive amongst us.

  • To counterpoint yesterday, this morning the mist was rising from the river, herons were sat on the opposite bank, runner were out and the rowers were training. Hang the fact it’s a longer ride and you have to go past the sewerage works, it sure beats going down the busier roads.

  • herons>heroin or something

  • Yesterday the Shard was giving off strong Mordor vibes again.
