Worked it out few days ago but won't be anywhere near it for a while.

Still not a clue but will be cycling between Greenwich and Stratford tomorrow, I’m hoping with another clue I’m in the right area?

Thanks Will, I even thought about replying or @ing you… I had read the top of that thread but not followed every link.
Old: Bromley Hall School, Bromley Hall Road/ Leven Road. No cat for me

New: easy to get it moving, but a bit of a grim location. If you can’t manage the steps a photo from the bridge adjacent should get it. Surprised it wasn’t tagged already but nothing came up on the search.

Nice tag. I hate hot weather though so unlikely to get it soon.

I'm not sure I'd say it's a "nice" tag. Might snag this tomorrow if nobody beats me to it! First time for everything.

New: I'm surprised this hasn't been tagged already. I imagine plenty of people will recognise it but will provide a clue if not.

Pretty sure it has been done before.
And yet it seems not. I've always assumed it had been.
Google images brings it up otherwise a clue would be helpful. -

It's been mentioned before but I couldn't find an actual tag and it's not on the maps.
A detail from the mural is probably as good as clue as any.Edit: shit, I keep forgetting not to tag you. Sorry!

It's weird, I have it on my list of things that have been tagged but it hasn't been. May be we all thought it had been so no one did it.
You fascist. -

NEW: this one is for Oliver.
Sorry, Will, that would have been too easy, as I knew where it was. :)
-
• #28616
It sort of has been done and sort of hasn't, I'd be inclined to let it stand as it was a long time ago.

It's been done at least twice, and was in fact one of the earliest tags, first by @Sumo, but he got the old tag wrong, and then by @bq. Here:

It was done again a couple of years later, but I can't remember by whom.

Damn! I missed those in my search of the thread.

I don't have a back up tag I'm afraid. Are we happy to let it ride seeing as the previous tag is a decade old?
-
• #28620
The rule that's been applied at times is quite simple: In case of a re-tag, the previous tag is still open, so if someone chooses to tag that and something else, they can. If they choose to accept your re-tag, they can tag that and something else. Alternatively, you can of course also go out and set a new tag that's not a re-tag.
Personally, I always prefer it if a re-tag is swapped for another tag.

Cool, I'll leave it to someone to decide which tag to get! No chance of me setting a new tag before Monday unfortunately. My first foray in to bike tag and it's all gone tits up.

For me, this all adds to the texture of the game; I enjoy these contributions.

At least I've potentially saved someone from a trip down a piss soaked stairway to the side of the Blackwall Tunnel approach. Doing the lord's work.

• #28624
For future reference, where did I go wrong searching to check if my new tag had been done already? I searched a few different words that I thought might be in there and checked the Google maps on the first page.

I wouldn't worry. Retags are all part of the fun. Searching works for most of them. For the rest, you wait for someone with a very long memory to call you out. And even then, it's not a bad thing. Definitely don't let the possibility of a retag put you off.
Do the "simple" thing with the clue.
