Yep it’s that simple, I’d put another bar across the back at floor level to stop the legs moving. If it’s in a public space I’d be inclined to use handrail clamps rather than scaffolding ones. They look neater, don’t have bits that stick out and are harder to take apart (steal or sabotage) You can also get some nice extras to add on.

I want to make a frame to hold my bikes in the car park- two A frames with a cross bar that the saddle hooks over, out of scaffold.
Anything to be aware of or is this as simple as it looks in my head?
