  • Nice watch! Enjoy!

  • Nice! I like the date window

  • Oh yeah, I was looking at them and really like how it look.

  • Watch Friday! Replacing my 21st present which my sister has commandeered

Sometime I forget how young you are amongst the sea of old men on here.

  • The date window is perfect! More brands need to do it like that!

  • Second crown rotates the internal bezel ( 0-60minute dive timer)

  • Have a roarsome Friday folks

That zenith is one of my favourite forum watches.

  • Two differing executions of a divers watch from Longines.

  • “It’s a divers watch……we had to drown him to get it”
    Alexie Sayle

  • Cheers all

As for the date window, wait til it gets to double digits...

    But, yeah, lovely looker.

@jv - the second crown as mentioned actually moves the internal bezel. @ejay2.0 has another example in the form of the Longines Legend Diver. It means it breaks away from the more common external bezel made famous by Rolex and Blancpain (and apparently Zodiac #whowouldathunk)

The Longines Legend Diver is a true Supercompressor (named after the case that gets more water tight the deeper you go - which can normally be identified by the dual crowns and internal rotating bezel), while my new one is a compressor styled version.

If anyone wants to geek out a bit on the super compressors

  • Happy Friday.
Rolex fresh from a full service, followed two weeks later by dropping it on a bathroom floor and breaking it. Fortunately Calibre just charged me for the replacement part!

  • Quarter to four and my brain has had it, congrats all you lucky new watch owners @ChainBreaker @PawG . I’ve been a very good boy and sold seven in the last few months but spunked the money elsewhere. Easy come…

  • You’re Peter Stringfellow AICMFP

  • Missed this - oops

    Well done! That looks great!

  • I went with the Christopher Ward option, also a true supercompressor.

Think they are much more understated than standard divers.

  • Yes! CW are one of the few that still make a true super compressor as well! I was going to mention it but forgot.

You should take a pic of the back. It's a lovely open caseback

  • Is yours a limited edition? I don't recognise that dial. It's normally blue.

  • Hello,

Any feedback on this? pricing wise, I've seen a couple advertised and sold at around the £1k mark.

  • It's an early model, also has the Christopher Ward lettering rather than the symbol which the later models have. Actually got it at a hefty discount because this model didn't sell too well compared to the blue.

  • Happy Friday all, just catching up with everything. Congrats to all new owners (and I’m a fan of the date window @ChainBreaker!). Been on hols with the explorer - sun screen and seawater have done an excellent job of turning the black rubber strap prematurely grey (and teaching the kids to swim has had a similar effect on me).

  • Don't forget Baltic too.

How thick was the Horizon watch? I was real interested but hard to get used to dive watch that's over 12mm thick.
