We're doing some work on our front garden. It's only small and up a steep flight of steps cut into a kind of 'cliff' of stonework. The plaster is blown on the side of the staircase. I presume there's something structural behind it or it would have all collapsed by now. There's also a concrete walkway in front of the bay windows but it's slumping. I'm presuming it's not going to cause the house to collapse and the house itself is on solid foundations and this is just a badly poured bit of concrete in front of it - but to ease my mind, who would I get to check? A structural surveyor presumably via the RICS website?
Need some pics! Our old steps /stairs were coming away from the house but the base was thick concrete. Maybe ask a surveyor to have a look. Did you get a survey done when you got the house?
