The 560 you paid in 2018 was not allowing them to be a functioning company.
If you want a similar frame for ~560 you can get a steamroller, but as you have already mentioned they aren’t the same quality so you should not be surprised (or upset) that the price is different.

I count myself lucky to have bagged that frame before they folded (and then resurrected).
The Steamroller is still a really good frame. I'd happily ride one again.

It was functional. They didn’t go bankrupt, they just lost staff to retirement irrc. Woodrup saw value in the name and now need a return on investment. @BobJackson correct me if I’m wrong.

I respectfully disagree that this is a relatively small price difference. I bought a 631 Vigorelli in 2018 for £560, which included several custom options. £1550 is near treble the cost!
