• We're just about to start on a kitchen refurb, which starts with us knocking the wall between our kitchen and dining rooms down, to create a single big space.

That'll lose us our kitchen cupboard storage, unfortunately. However, we do have some alcoves beside the fireplace in the dining room. I'm hoping there's some way I can put shelving in there and cover it all with a door or two.

Do I need to buy fitted standalone cupboards or is there something where we can attach a door straight to the wall? Apols if this is a dim question, I'm quite new to all this refurb stuff (just moved out of a flat).
