We got lucky and someone local informed us about newish sections, including the dedicated cycle tunnel. For the benefit of anyone heading that way..
https://www.komoot.com/tour/1283393065From the East you have the tunnel that starts near the base of Notre-Dame-du-Pré that then follows the valley for ~20 miles before joining onto the main road heading toward the Iseran.
Back from 7 straight days riding out of Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Tough week, heatwave had the Garmin reading 40+ degree C in the sun, even above 1,000m. First time I've not needed layers on the Cols and a balmy 28 degrees C on the top of Iseran.
A pleasant suprise was the relatively new cycle lanes and tunnels following the Isère river through the valley and connecting up the rides. From Bourg it was possible to tick off..
