I had to pop into John Lewis today to pick something up for the MiL so rode the folder the 8 miles in. I folded it up outside and carried on inside. I was stopped by a ‘partner’ so immediately thought FFS!, but no they asked if I wanted them to put it behind one of the tills, whichever I wanted to save me carrying it around. I explained I was just going to the collections desk and I was fine. That was also just fine with them. So much easier than locking up and wondering if you bike will still be there on your return.
